Job Description

Abiglobal is a small and fast-growing business that has been in the food trade for the last 10 years. We are looking for a bright and hardworking individual to join our team as a sales representative.

Principal Objective of Position
You have responsibility for growing and delivering on the agreed sales/volume and margin targets set for you and to continuously deliver outstanding customer service and advertising excellence.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Makes telephone calls and in person visits and presentations to existing and prospective customers.
  • Present new products introductions.
  • Create and present promotional opportunities through the retailers advertising vehicles on/ or off shelf.
  • Ability to comprehend and use sales data in presentation (SPINS, etc.).
  • Sell overstock/distressed merchandise.
  • Keep sales book updated.
  • Respond timely to all correspondence.
  • Supplies management with oral and written reports on customer needs problem, interest, competitive activities and potential for new products and services
  • Keeps abreast of product applications, technical services, market conditions, competitive activities, advertising and promoting trends through the reading of pertinent literature and consulting with marketing and technical service area.
  • General monthly budget and sales forecast
  • Prospect new client via sales calls, direct mail, email and networking events

Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree, Commerce would be preferred
At least 2 years of sales experience
Access to your own vehicle, valid driver’s licence
Proficient with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
Ability to work independently and without supervision
