Sales Manager

Cornwall & Devon area

£26700 per annum 35 hours per week

United Response have an exciting and rare opportunity for a creative and inspirational Sales Manager to join our Wellbeing, Education, Life Long Learning & Employment Team in Devon and Cornwall.

About United Response

United Response is a disability charity with a mission to ensure that individuals with learning disabilities, mental or physical support needs have the opportunity to live their lives to the full.

The role

This is a unique role within United Response with the ultimate aim to support people with learning disabilities to gain the appropriate skills to progress into some form of employment.

You will

  • Develop and manage of high street and online retail outlets across the Devon and Cornwall area.
  • Handle multi-site order fulfilment and stock levels ensuring customer orders are completed on time and to budget and that quality standards and targets are met.
  • Be the first point of contact for online customer enquiries, returns, etc. always ensuring polite and timely response resolving complaints and processing orders in an efficient and timely manner.
  • Decide on and order the resources that are required and ensure stock levels remain adequate.
  • Tutor/mentor students and staff in the safe use of printing and engraving equipment to produce personalised gifts.
  • Assisting students to complete qualifications relating to IT, design, business awareness, etc and enable them to progress and develop confidence in the workplace.
  • Research and develop new product lines.

Essential Qualities

  • Retail and customer service experience.
  • Experience and ability to Create, edit and upload product photography and descriptions to the ecommerce platform and remove discontinued/out-of-stock items in a timely manner.
  • Ability to lead and inspire people of all abilities with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent IT, admin and budgeting skills.
  • Awareness of health and safety in the workplace.
  • Experience of supervising and motivating staff.

Desirable Qualities

  • Experience of working with people with learning and physical disabilities.
  • Experience in education and learning.
  • Advertising and social media.
  • Previous experience in graphic design, creative and craft skills.
  • Photography skills, including use of photo editing software such as Photoshop or similar and experience with digital and sublimation printing for production of personalised photographic gifts.
  • Experience with laser engraving.
