Sales Manager/Head of Sales

My client solves the need of many SMEs to be able to access quality financial support. Their sole purpose is to help their clients access reliable, informative accounting support to improve the performance of their business. They are a growing SME and are actively looking for a talented Field Sales Manager to coach, support, develop and manage their UK team as they gear up for the next phase of their growth.

They believe in doing more than statutory reporting and genuinely partnering with their clients to help them understand what the numbers mean to their business. They now require a talented sales manager to join their team.

The person:

  • Experienced SME sales leader in a service environment– 5+ years’ experience at senior level;
  • Gravitas and presence to challenge a team in a constructive way
  • A demonstrable understanding of sales methodologies and proven ability to coach and develop salespeople by accompanying them in the field
  • Able to motivate a team to achieve targets, budgets and results
  • Strong operational management to implement a clear growth strategy

Role & Responsibilities:

· PEOPLE & LEADERSHIP- build, develop and lead the field sales team to achieve challenging goals. Develop KPI’s and act as coach/mentor to the sales function in order to achieve them

· REVENUE GROWTH- responsibility for growing revenue through new and existing channels and implementing robust sales management processes

· RETENTION- develop and deliver a world class CX programme increase client satisfaction leading to higher retention and referral rates

· REPORTING- measure and report on results both internally and externally working closely with our marketing team to ensure focus on the right activities

Personal Characteristics:

  • Goal Oriented – naturally motivated to reach goals and help others do so, proven success in growing sales revenue and sales teams in previous role(s);
  • Trustworthy– unquestionable integrity, credibility, and character;
  • Open to learning- able to admit mistakes, collegiate and open to ideas. More of a team player than a “lone wolf”
  • Organised and disciplined – able to demonstrate personal discipline and a logical approach develop this in the team
  • Problem Solver- able to come up with well thought through practical solutions.
