USED CAR SALES MANAGER

Salary / Hours

  • Basic Salary £20K-£24k (dependent on experience) – Uncapped Commission Structure on Sales, Finance Deals and Warranties, OTE £50k +
  • The business is open Mon-Fri 9-6, Sat 9-5, (Sun 10.30-4 by appointment) Rota system with one long weekend every month

Required Experience and Attributes

  • 2 Years + Motor Trade Sales
  • Full UK driving license
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong organisational and prioritisation skills
  • Computer literate
  • Car Sales & Marketing experience with 3rd Party Platforms such as eBay / Motors / Marketplace etc. Knowledge of Google ads and search engine optimisation considered an advantage
  • Experience in selling Finance Products and Warranties
  • It’s essential you are a driven individual who can work autonomously, show initiative and be proactive

This is a unique opportunity to join a successful, family run Used Car Business. Next Car typically have up to 80 vehicles in stock between 2 branches - mostly cars plus some LCVs. We are looking for an experienced and driven Sales Executive / Controller / Manager to look after sourcing, sales and the day to day running of our recently opened branch in Perth. You will be at the forefront of our company and given the opportunity to drive the business forward. You will be supported from behind the scenes by the Managing Director, but ultimately trusted to make day to day business decisions. You will be expected to manage your time effectively and when needed, arrange assistance from 3rd party services / companies. You will be expected to manage in-house branch employees. The successful candidate will be given the opportunity to grow into a more senior role within our business on completion of a successful probationary period.

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Meet and greet customers, qualify customer needs, carry out test drives, part exchange appraisal, present proposals, close deals and provide a quality customer experience at all times
  • Prepare and publish sales adverts on various advertising platforms
  • Hit social media marketing, search engine optimisation targets
  • Create and market regular Finance Campaigns
  • Prepare and execute finance deals
  • Complete basic PDI on arrival of all new stock
  • Ensure cars are mechanically prepped in a timely manner by liaising with and utilising onsite, 3rd party workshop and MOT station
  • Ensure cars are cosmetically prepared to a very high standard. Utilise existing network of bodyshops, workshops, and valeters as and when required. Indoor Valet Bay onsite, some car prep expected in quiet periods.
  • Maintain trade insurance database
  • Answer phone calls, emails and social media enquiries in a timely and courteous manner
  • Create and populate a sales pipeline / log
  • Source parts by the most cost-effective means.
  • Ensure a smart and professional looking environment for customers at all times. This will include maintaining yard, office and valet bay as and when required
  • Maintain regular contact with our established buying network and assist the Managing Director in the sourcing process
  • Manage your time. Arrange and utilise 3rd party companies and services to meet business requirements as and when you see fit.
