The Role

Do you have previous experience in a leadership role, coupled with proven experience in sales performance improvement in both the UK and export? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you.

A leading manufacturer of automatic smoke and fire curtains are looking to appoint a Sales Director. As an integral member of the Senior Management Team and reporting to the Managing Director, the successful candidate will have responsibility for the UK and Export Sales Teams, including Marketing, and will build and deliver on strategies and objectives to develop and grow Coopers Fire.

Key Responsibilities

The key responsibilities of the Sales Director include, but are not limited to:

  • Develop and execute the sales and marketing strategies, both in the UK and overseas.
  • Embrace and develop the CRM system to gain market intelligence
  • Ensure all sales and marketing activities maintain the existing Company’s objectives and brand
  • Motivating the team to develop on lead generation and upselling Coopers products and services.
  • Responsible for maintaining margins and managing costs.
  • Lead the sales team to seek business development opportunities.
  • Accurate reporting on the sales pipeline and forecast.
  • Developing, implementing and improving sales and marketing systems and processes.

The Person

The key skills and qualities of the Sales Director are:

  • Proven experience in sales performance improvement in both the UK and Export.
  • Experience of selling into the construction sector
  • Experience in the fire prevention industry would be desirable but not essential.
  • Excellent communicator.
  • Customer focus approach.
  • High energy, enthusiastic and creative.
  • Able to work under pressure.
  • Good people leader and motivator.
