Your role, as Sales Assistant is to support the Sales Team and its function and your line manager the Head of Sales in these endeavours.


The B Side: Skills & Experience


Be Technical

  • Design database applications, such as interfaces, data transfer mechanisms, global temporary tables, data partitions, and function-based indexes to enable efficient access of the generic database structure
  • Design databases to support business applications, ensuring system scalability, security, performance and reliability
  • Review and or Develop data models for applications, metadata tables, views or related database structures
  • Design and Develop extract load and transform (ETL) and Database design for data warehouse
  • Develop or maintain backup processes, archived procedures, procedural codes, or queries for applications
  • Develop and document database architectures
  • Develop database architectural strategies at the modeling, design and implementation stages to address business or industry requirements
  • Demonstrate database technical functionality, such as performance, security and reliability
  • We expect everyone on our team to present creative solutions to our technology problems


Be Collaborative

  • Assisting in preparing and delivering drive solutions to clients
  • Supporting the new business function by assisting with lead generation including the sourcing, collating and following up of leads
  • To support the sales team in building excellent relationships with clients
  • Assisting in the planning and preparation for any parties, events or tradeshows
  • Assisting with travel arrangements for the team
  • Assisting with follow up resulting from client meetings, events or tradeshows
  • Assisting in planning, implementing and driving all aspects of Universal Production Music’s sales & marketing strategy.
  • To support in the management of our client database and to ensure that all data is entered in a timely way and records are always up to date
  • To support in providing a first-class service to clients for which Universal Music is known
  • To contribute as part of a team to marketing and promotional ideas for client initiatives
  • The support the Head of Sales contributing to the team’s commercial goals and to key projects and initiatives undertaken to develop and grow the business


Be Organised

  • Providing appropriate follow up for every registered user
  • Ensuring speedy registration of users to our sites
  • Attend all relevant departmental meetings


Be Knowledgeable

  • Responding to queries related to our website, hard drive or other tools
  • Advising clients on licensing and rates


Person Specification

Necessary

  • Experience working in production music, publishing, a record company or related business
  • A keen interest in production music or film & TV licensing
  • A genuine interest and knowledge in a wide variety of musical styles
  • Ability to manage time and work to tight deadlines efficiently
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Must be articulate, personable, have an eye for detail, organised, numerate, a self-motivator with team-player mentality
  • Proactive, showing initiative with an inquisitive/curious and willing nature
  • Strong technical background – knowledge of MAC & PC functionality, audio file types or equivalent
  • A team player – measuring success by the whole team’s performance
  • Organised, calm under pressure. You will be a ‘can do’ person, somebody who sees challenges instead of problems
  • Comfortable juggling multiple responsibilities
  • Enjoys taking ownership and accountability
  • A good sense of humour
