Field Based with travel across the CMBC logistics network.

Permanent

35 hours per week.Working on a Monday to Friday basis.

We are now recruiting for a Route Planning Optimisation Manager to join us. Reporting to the Logistics Development Manager, this role will be responsible for:

Key Accountabilities:

  • Route planning and optimisation including but not limited to analysis of delivery data, customer demands and constraints to create efficient and cost-effective delivery routes, adjusting planning system parameters to maintain alignment between planned hours and actual hours and supporting network design with evaluation of distribution costs.
  • Providing guidance, support, and training to the planning teams across the network as needed.
  • Collaborating with various departments and working closely with depot managers regarding their route performances, challenges, and improvement opportunities.
  • Analyse route planning and delivery KPI’s, identifying areas for improvement and implementing strategy to enhance performance.
  • Continuous improvement of all processes to automate and streamline route planning and enhancing productivity.
  • Assess and support performance in “delivery on-time” performance.

Experience and Key Attributes:

  • Proven experience in route planning, logistics, or supply chain management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to collaborate with Depot management, cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Leadership skills to motivate and guide the route planning teams.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
  • Adaptability and resilience in dealing with changing circumstances and unexpected challenges.
  • Driving Licence as travel will be required.
