A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Depot Manager within our new Reading depot. This role will be responsible for the day to day operation of the site with a number of direct reports including Fleet and Warehouse managers. Responsible for the successful delivery to thousands of drinks outlets across part of the South West region and surrounding areas.

The role:
  • Responsible for all Health and Safety compliance across the Depot
  • Responsibility for ensuring the site is legally compliant with its Goods Vehicle Operator Licence
  • Ensure minimisation of costs, whilst maintaining exemplary customer service standards
  • Ensure the correct policy and procedures are adhered to across the various departments on site
  • Manage costs in line with set budgets
  • Manage the site within Logistics KPI’s established by our customers
The ideal candidate:
  • Must have Class 2 HGV Licence, current Driver CPC Licence and Transport Manager National Certificate of Professional Competence
  • Preferable to hold a NEBOSH General Certificate or IOSH qualification
  • Be prepared to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Previous experience of Brewery Logistics, Warehouse, or other multi- drop operations
  • Will have prior knowledge of SAP operating systems
  • Good computer literacy skills, including knowledge of Microsoft packages
  • Prior experience of WMS and Stock Control Management
  • Will be flexible, reliable, prepared to travel, learn, and try new ideas
  • Strong numerical and literacy skills
  • Have excellent attention to detail
