We are looking for motivated and enthusiastic Band 5 Registered Learning Disability Nurses to work at the Dan y Deri in-patient services in Swansea.

You will be providing specialist care for people with learning disabilities and challenging behaviour.

  • We offer a £250 Referral Bonus for each successful referral

Overview:

  • Location: Swansea
  • General Pay: £20.00 to £33.00 per hour (PAYE) £25.86 to £42.07 per hour (FCSA Accredited Umbrella)
  • Shifts: Days, Nights and weekends

The role: What will you do as aRegistered Learning Disabilities Nurse (RNLD)

We have ongoing, flexible shifts available with either full or part-time hours to suit your availability on all the general wards. We are especially interested to hear from Registered Mental Health Nurses (RMN) who are compassionate, committed and have experience nursing in various mental health settings. You will provide therapeutic care and support to patients, providing a first class service and commitment to making a difference in the lives of these patients and their families.

Duties Will Include:

  • Administering medication
  • Reviewing and planning care for patients
  • The implementation of care and treatment plans
  • Liaising with other professionals to deliver care to patients, including liaising with families.

The role: What will you do as aRegistered Learning Disabilities Nurse (RNLD)

We are especially interested to hear from Registered Learning Disabilities Nurses (RNLD) who are compassionate, committed and have experience nursing in patients with challenging behaviour. You will provide specialist nursing care to people with learning disabilities who require in-patient services. You will promote equality for all service users through anti discriminatory practice, supporting individuals’ rights, choices, beliefs and identity and by supporting individuals through effective communication. You will assess, plan, implement and evaluate care through the principles of Positive Behavioural Support.

The candidate: What you’ll need as aRegistered Learning Disabilities Nurse (RNLD)

  • You must be an RNLD with at least 6 months UK experience
  • You must hold a valid NMC PIN
  • Up-to-date training certificates
  • UK Resident
  • You must have the right to work in UK
