Specsavers are looking for two driven and motivated Retailers to become the new Retail Partners across both the Newton Abbot & Brixham stores. This is a rare opportunity to become a multi-site Store Partner in two fantastic businesses. About the stores

Specsavers in Newton Abbot first opened its doors in 1992. The store sits in a prominent position on Queen Street and is firmly embedded within the local community. Specsavers in Brixham opened in 2008 and sits on Fore Street. Both have a loyal and growing customer base that is very diverse and includes members of the large local communities, in addition to significant passing trade from all walks of life.

Both Specsavers stores pride themselves in ensuring that every one of their customers receives an excellent patient experience. The high levels of service and patient care have led to numerous positive customer reviews, with both stores holding a current rating of 4.5/5 and an excellent local reputation.

Newton Abbot has five test rooms, while Brixham has three. Both stores are fully equipped with the latest clinical technology, including OCT in each.A team of 25 dedicated colleagues call Newton Abbot home, while Brixham currently has 6 passionate colleagues. As the new Retail Director you would have the scope to advise on training requirements and build the teams as further as required.

Both Specsavers are accredited Platinum Employers. The Platinum Employer Scheme is part of the Specsavers drive to become a famous place to work. Store Location

Both stores are located in the stunning county of Devon, with 35min travel time between them. Newton Abbot in particular has excellent transport links with a mainline railway station within walking distance nearby, picturesque Brixham sits on the coast, with the beautiful Berry Head National Nature Reserve just nearby. There’s something for everyone with from shops, bars and restaurants to beautiful parks and scenery.

Requirements of the role

Alongside being an existing retailer with a strong and proven background within optics, you will also have the drive, passion and willingness to ensure a customer-focused team and role model high standards to continue the success of this store. As the new Retail Partner, you will be able to provide a unique blend of customer care and professional excellence. You’ll be able to build a rapport with the new teams, demonstrate excellent attention to detail and possess an ability to build strong relationships within the local community.
