About The Role

As a Captain, you’ll be a leading voice of the Expert and Fulfillment community, responsible for managing and leading your team’s performance within the market across sales, operations, compliance, experience and people KPI’s. You’ll proactively lead your teams to ensure they deliver a comprehensive retail experience in the comfort of our Customers homes through your teams mobile retail stores. You will share key business initiatives that enable your experts to deliver an in-home experience, which drives recurring revenues and the subscription economy for our Partners and makes the smart last mile a profitable channel. You’ll work alongside your fulfillment teams to ensure all stock management process’ are executed in a timely and accurate fashion to ensure the correct availability is surfaced for our partners. You’ll ensure your team(s) have the tools, resources, and knowledge to do their very best whilst championing a healthy and positive performance culture.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Manage the submarket team, recognising great performance and providing developmental guidance
  • Drive operational performance standards to achieve KPI’s in line with company goals
  • In partnership with the Market Captain, collaborate with Regional Partners to address market-specific needs. (People Success, Learning, Talent Attraction, Field Success,Trust and Safety, Fleet and Regional Fulfilment Leads)
  • Build and champion a strong and connected culture across your team aligned with Enjoy’s culture and with Enjoy’s values
  • Connect, inform, and inspire the team through one-on-ones, daily huddles, and visit observations
  • Be an enthusiastic advocate for all employees in the submarket
  • Maintain a high performing team in line with the Enjoy Values, KPI’s and brand standards
  • Manage the vision, purpose and tactics of Enjoy programs, initiatives, and priorities
  • Identify training gaps on the team and support the ongoing learning.
  • Manage the P&L for your submarket(s)
  • Promote company initiatives and implement to ensure the quality and consistency of outcomes including but not limited to company pilots, sales initiatives and fulfilment standards
  • Manage all health and safety incidents in conjunction with our trust and safety team and offer support to all parties involved
  • Effectively manage the time and attendance of your team up to and including schedule management and payroll
  • Comprehensively manage the fulfilment operations including stock management, stock discrepancies and stock availability insights
  • Maintain brand standards across the submarket(s). (Uniforms, Enjoy House, Fleet Vehicles, etc.)
  • Ensure the submarket(s) adhere to all timekeeping practices and policies, including managing payroll approvals, time off requests, and Expert expenses
  • Own the employee life cycle, including the hiring and performance management of your team

Qualifications
  • Proven experience in a people management role
  • Ability to travel for the first two weeks of onboarding and training
  • Ability to work 8 hour shifts, possible overtime, evenings, weekends, and some holidays
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (23 kg), additional support may be provided to assist employees if required
  • Ability to regularly work out of an Enjoy House
  • Ability to work 10 hour shifts, possible overtime, evenings, weekends, and some holidays
  • Valid UK manual driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record with a maximum of 6 points
  • Agree to a DVLA & DBS background check (essential)
