Job - Retail Branch Manager

Reports to - Regional Manager

Dealing directly with the public both face to face and over the telephone, offering an excellent customer service experience, being the face of the brand, building a relationship with the customer, valuing the used car, processing the purchase of the car, and maximising further and future business opportunities for the company.

Main Duties

Responsibilities:
  • As the face and voice of the business, you will have a passion and ability to give amazing customer service.
  • As a lone worker you are fully responsible and accountable for your branch and your customers, you are not managing a team but rather yourself, your time, and your branch. You will enjoy and be confident on the phone talking to our customers and enjoy working towards targets that give you the opportunity to earn more!
  • You will turn leads generated by our website into purchases and constantly keep busy whilst being on the lookout for new business, booking in new appointments.
  • Building strong rapport with customers through welcome and confirmation calls
  • Managing the company opportunity and purchase systems converting booked appointments into successful purchases
  • Accurately appraising vehicles always keeping in mind both the company and customer.
  • Selling the company service, effectively and thoroughly processing the car purchase.
  • Actively promoting the company brand in an effective and professional manager.
  • Developing further and future sales opportunities through prospecting and lead generation
  • Successful processing of admin and all company processes ensuring that all company standards and procedures are adhered to, to an effective compliance standard.
  • Full ownership, responsibility and maintenance of the branch, branch standards, equipment, and presentation.

Person Specification
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Strong PC Skills
  • Articulate and very confident at liaising with customers regularly by telephone and face to face
  • Organised, structured, compliant, and always portrays a professional image
  • Experience of working to and exceeding targets and able to work in a fast paced and changing environment
  • Previous Retail or Customer Service/Customer facing and sales experience
  • Ideally, previous experience of accurately appraising vehicles
  • Ideally, previous motor trade experience, or a basic understanding of car makes and models

You Must Be Able To
  • Contact prospects and prioritise diary to achieve appointments and meet targets
  • Work productively, effectively, and independently
  • Keep self-motivated and build effective relationships both internally and externally
  • Use and understand our bespoke booking system and be IT literate
  • Attend training on a regular basis to maintain product knowledge
  • Work full time on 48-hour shift pattern over 5 days (including lunches)
  • Work every Saturday and Sunday with rest days predominantly occurring between Monday-Friday

Essential Experience
  • A current full UKmanual driving licence
  • Experience of working in a target driven sales environment
  • Customer focused with excellent communication skills and telephone manner
  • Ability to persuade and negotiate
  • Ability to work well under pressure and by yourself
  • Ability to organise and prioritise own workload
  • Excellent administration skills
  • Flexible on travel to multiple local sites
