A permanent position has arisen for a band 5 Respiratory Physiologist within a busy Lung Function and Sleep Apnoea Department at University Hospital Llandough.The successful candidate should be qualified to BSc. Healthcare Science (Respiratory Physiology) level (or equivalent) and able to perform and interpret full lung function tests to a high level, as well as reversibility, 6 minute walk testing, earlobe blood gases and respiratory muscle testing. They will also be issuing and downloading sleep studies under appropriate supervision. They should be confident at working independently, be able to supervise students and enjoy working within a team.The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.Cardiff and Vale University Health Boardis one of the largest Integrated Health Boards in the UK, employing over 15,000 staff, providing over 100 specialist services.
