The job on offer
Capgemini UK currently have an amazing opportunity for an experienced Resource Manager to join the team, this will be a Hybrid role with occasional working from our Telford Office.
The objective of the role is to proactively manage the resourcing process in line with the resourcing strategy, identify issues affecting resourcing performance, then help to develop solutions, working with a wide variety of stakeholders, to support the Management Team in ensuring the business meets their financial and non-financial targets, minimize lost revenue and reduce delivery risk.
Your Role
- You will work closely with the Delivery Centre and Capability management teams and operations teams, to understand current and future resource demand, provide resourcing solutions and guidance on best approach aligned to resourcing strategy and managing the resourcing process from demand signal to initiating candidate onboarding. You will work pro-actively to fulfil resource demand for your business areas, ensuring collaboration across sourcing, by utilising the most appropriate supply chain options, from local and global internal staffing to 3rd party supplier hiring and recruitment and early and emerging talent.
- You will establish and maintain relationships with key business leads, functions and external 3rd party suppliers and be a trusted adviser and resourcing business partner to your business areas.
- You will support a community of people as their Resource Manager, providing career advice, assignment management and rotation support, bench management and general career support, such as helping identify opportunities and guiding on building a quality skills profile.
- You will join a local and wider resourcing team and will be part of a Capgemini global resourcing community. We foster an environment of continuous improvement, and we support a wider change and transformation agenda that you will have the opportunity to feed into.
Your Profile
Mandatory Skills:
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- A highly visible people orientated style with the assertiveness, determination and relationship building skills to challenge objectives and ensure positive results
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- A clear thinker, with an aptitude for detail
- Good influencing skills and a positive opinion leader
- Excel, Word and Powerpoint
Desirable Skills:
- Knowledge of the RETAIN (Resource Management) System would be an advantage
- Understanding of IT project lifecycle beneficial
Experience:
Experience gained through a Resource Management or recruitment role in a similar

- Positive, enthusiastic attitude
- Calm and patient under pressure
- Must demonstrate drive and enthusiasm to take positive action and progress projects to a conclusion
- Good interpersonal skills at all levels
- Self-motivated
