About This Role

The Resource Analytics & Insights Manager is responsible for our fibre build resource contingency planning including providing modelling, insight and recommendations for OT, Shrinkage, Roster Patterns, Leave Groups, Leave Thresholds, Timesheet management, loan tracking. The role will functionally own Resource Management activities during the transition from concept, preparation to operational readiness.

The scope covers all FND programmes including: direct labour and contractor resources across the desk and field operations. Ensuring FND resource agility including the effective utilisation of all resource flex points to ensure plan optimisation. Identifying national, Regional and local capacity risks to service/delivery and drive mitigating actions

The role involves Resource Analytics, and resource Modelling to optimise Resource Management and implementation. The tactical short notice injection or removal of capacity to support FND to deliver customer & commercial requirements. Resource flex points, whilst proactively working to develop additional sources of value add.

You’ll Have The Following Responsibilities
  • Responsible for delivery of forecasting, modelling & insight for FND resource strategies
  • Responsible for utilising resource modelling to identify resource levers available within the organisation to react to volatility and balance supply and demand
  • Responsible for identifying resource levers available within the organisation to react to volatility and balance supply and demand
  • Responsible for resourcing agility, and the effective utilisation of all resource flex points to ensure plan optimisation – identifying local capacity risks to service and driving mitigating actions
  • Responsible for, and clear owner of the process for the tactical short notice injection or removal of capacity to support the operation nationally to deliver its customer and commercial requirements
  • Responsible for setting FND Directors up for success, making sure all regions, area and patches have balanced resource and skilling plans, a critical element to delivering our regulated service performance and fibre build
  • Responsible for effective delivery of FNDs resource contingency planning including reporting, analysis, insight and recommendations for OT, Shrinkage, Roster Patterns, Leave Groups, Leave Thresholds, Timesheet Management, Loan Tracking
  • Responsible for building national, Regional and local capacity risks to service/delivery and drive mitigating actions
  • Responsible for identifying opportunities for short notice injection or removal of capacity to support FND to deliver customer & commercial requirements
  • Responsible for identifying and recommending resource flex points, whilst proactively working to develop additional sources of value add – e.g. local solutions to targeted rare localised resource shortages, optimised rosters and leave mixes to ensure we maximise all available resource.
You’ll Have The Following Skills & Experience
  • Proven track record in either production, transformation or operational environments
  • Highly analytical and structured approach with first class critical thinking. Able to translate complex data into business insights and drive action plans.
  • Experience of providing insight and analysis in order to drive business decisions and outcomes– applying operational insight and excellent problem solving capability
  • Visionary thinker with a challenger mind-set.
  • Financial acumen.
  • A true customer champion, and an ability to be operationally customer solutions focused, demonstrating real customer empathy in everything they do.
  • Knowledge of the different business models, and how they impact on delivery of cost, customer experience and people.
