Rents Income Manager - Ilkeston - £23,000 - £26,000

Chase & Holland are excited to be working with a charitable organisation as they look to recruit a Rents Income Manager to join their fantastic team. You will be reporting to the Finance Business Partner, taking the lead in monitoring and reducing the rent debtor for the organisation by providing accurate, quality rental information and building strong relationships with local authorities and internal staff.

Rents Income Manager Responsibilities

Providing rental reports within agreed timescales to the Business Partner including rental arrears, assisting in the preparation of board reports and presentation Effectively manage the rent debtor balance by leading on effective policy and procedures for rent debtor management Preparation and submission of rental reporting to individual services Developing effective working relationships with key internal and external partners, including Housing Benefit departments Supporting the rent setting processes, calculating new rent breakdowns and agreeing with registered providers Negotiating and agreeing the increases with the relevant local authorities Completing support exempt status applications for new properties Take responsibility for accuracy of data within the rents and accounts system Conduct regular credit control of invoiced rental income Manage all changes to standing orders and set up new standing orders for all new properties Responsible for the preparation of quarterly RSL reports Coordinate and present for approval all requests for discretionary rent payments Contribute to the development of financial systems, policy and practice Manage the Rents & Finance Administrators and Finance officer, giving support, training and guidance

Hours

Full-time, Monday to Friday 37.5 hours per week

Required Skills & Experience

Experience in a similar role with management experience Good level of knowledge and understanding regarding rental income and benefits system/housing benefit Working knowledge of all round accounting procedures in particular month end/year end account processes Experience dealing with customers over the telephone with excellent telephone skills Experience using Microsoft Office package/ IT qualification/Excellent IT skills Must have experience working with Emails, Database, Account Systems, Spreadsheets, Word Processing, Power Point Experience preparing financial reports Full UK driving licence and access to a car is essential
