Graduate Financial Accountant – Scunthorpe – Competitive Salary Depending On Experience

Following rapid growth this leading manufacturing business is seeking a Junior Financial Accountant to join their friendly team in this key role. You will be assisting in the preparation and reporting of the Management Accounts for the site, ensuring controls and processes are adhered to. You will work closely with Senior Management and Group to ensure KPI’s, revenue and profit targets are achieved. The key responsibilities of the Graduate Financial Accountant will include:
  • Assist with the preparation of the weekly and monthly accounts pack including detailed variance analysis to tight group deadlines
  • Reconciling balance sheet and providing full detailed analysis to ensure controls and minimise risks
  • Review and manage working capital, attending weekly meetings and monitor to plan
  • Support with the preparation of monthly site finance pack to drive cost awareness and efficiencies
  • Meet site operational managers to review costs and overhead spend against budgets
  • Involvement in the preparation of site balance sheet for budgets and forecasting
  • Review, develop and drive internal controls and financial reporting
  • Stock control and valuation
  • Flexibility to undertake ad hoc projects to drive continuous improvement across all areas of finance
The Ideal candidate:
