Renewables Engineer/Solar Panel Electrician Looking for a Renewables Engineer/Solar Panel Electrician to work in part of a renewable energy team for our well-known, family run Electrical company in Rugby. You will be required to work Monday – Friday, varied hours depending on site (will be between 6am – 4:30pm) may be required to work overtime. Pay rate per hour: up to £19.08 depending on experience. This role will involve working on a variety of projects, completing work to project specifications and deadlines. You’ll work as a member of the electricals team, carrying out work on both small- and large-scale projects, within a variety of industries, and will from time to time include working away on projects as required. As a team player, you can work to instructions from the Lead Electrician/Project lead and support your colleagues, but also work off your own initiative, being able to organise and motivate yourself to ensure work gets completed to the required standards and on time. Roles and Responsibilities Solar PV and Battery installations, inspecting, testing and maintenance works both on-grid and off grid. To be able to assess locations to ensure suitability for solar panels. Be able to measure up areas for installations. Knowledge of renewable energy technology and solar panel maintenance Must be able to follow and implement RAMS, have experience and knowledge of H&S procedures/practices and ability to lead projects and produce accurate documentation on time. Knowledge of wiring electrical components both DC and AC Ability to carry out testing and inspection of systems. Qualifications NVQ Level 3 – Required (or working towards) Solar PV Installation - 1 year experience required (or very good knowledge of the requirements of this sector) DC experience Driving Licence - Required ECS Gold Card—Preferred (or working towards) Testing and InspectionPreferred What we can offer Company Vehicle and workwear Training & development opportunities Working for a friendly family run company which looks after the safety & wellbeing of their employees.
