Relief Farm Manager (Broiler Poultry Farms)
South Yorkshire Territory
Full Time, Permanent, Salary up to £32,000 DOE

THE ROLE

As a Relief Farm Manager (Broiler Farms), you will be expected to organise farm administration, work equipment and monitor site contractors at all times.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Run of the Broiler unit to a very high standard
  • Liaise with Hatcheries, Processors, Feed companies, Vets
  • Ensure all codes of practice is adhered to
  • Making sure welfare of birds is adhered to at all times
  • Day to day observation, walking, weighing of birds
  • Maintaining Biosecurity and cleanliness at all times
  • Maintain up to date records according to red tractor scheme
  • Willingness to participate in continual training
  • Work within a large team

THE CANDIDATE

The successful Relief Farm Manager will be able to demonstrate the following;

  • NVQ 2 and/or 3 in Poultry production
  • Livestock experience
  • Poultry experience
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to manage time effectively
  • Ability to work independently
  • Computer literate
  • Physically able to carry out manual duties (Lift up to 20kg)
