Farm Manager (Broiler Farm)
Goole Area, East Riding of Yorkshire
Full Time, Permanent, up to £32,000, Accommodation Available

THE ROLE

As a Broiler Farm Manager, you will be expected to provide excellent levels of bird welfare, maintain farm biosecurity standards, organise farm administration and monitor site contractors at all times.

As the Farm Manager, you’ll need to:

  • Run of the Broiler unit to a very high standard
  • Liaise with Hatcheries, Processors, Feed companies, Vets
  • Ensure all codes of practice is adhered to
  • Making sure welfare of birds is adhered to at all times
  • Day to day observation, walking, weighing of birds
  • Maintaining Biosecurity and cleanliness at all times
  • Maintain up to date records according to red tractor scheme
  • Willingness to participate in continual training
  • Work within a large team

THE CANDIDATE

The successful Farm Manager will be able to demonstrate the following;

  • NVQ 2 and/or 3 in Poultry production
  • Livestock experience
  • Poultry experience
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to manage time effectively
  • Ability to work independently
  • Computer literate
  • Physically able to carry out manual duties (Lift up to 20kg)
