An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Reliability Engineer to work within our Mars Wrigley division in Plymouth!

The purpose of this role is to drive a reduction in technical downtime, through the successful implementation of site wide continuous Improvement initiatives; and projects to reduce asset criticality. The Reliability Engineer will lead and own the successful identification, planning and delivery of tasks, to deliver improvements in their respective areas.

Reliability Engineer Key Duties
  • As the Reliability Engineer you will take ownership of projects and PM strategy to deliver continuous improvements on assets to enhance performance
  • Collaborative working alongside the PM Planners for effective PM planning and strategic frequency
  • An active member of the site engineering team showing flexibility when business priorities dictate
  • Manage service contracts that are in place for relevant assets and to ensure continuous saving opportunities are considered for contracts, spares and parts used
  • Ensure the effective handover of information is delivered to both engineering and operations teams
  • Drive the progress of the apprentices when in the engineering department, ensuring coaching, development and leadership is always displayed
  • Take ownership of reactive work to support troubleshooting using root-cause methodologies
  • Responsibility for Reliability PM duties during downtime including detailed reporting captured on the SAP PM system
  • Ownership of work order processing in the SAP PM system applying maintenance improvement technique to improve and update the engineering detail
Will Be Able To Demonstrate

Reliability Engineer experience/skills required:
  • HNC / ONC in mechanical and electrical engineering discipline supported by suitable experience in FMCG environment
  • Experience in problem solving and root cause analysis of technical issues
  • Strong understanding of maintenance principles, excellent organisational, project management and strategic planning skills
