We have an exciting opportunity for a Registered Nurse to join our Surgical and Critical Care Ward at University Hospital Hairmyres

We are looking for a highly motivated and dynamic Practitioner with a genuine desire to work within this fast paced Speciality.

The successful candidate will have responsibility for assessment of care needs and the development of programmes of care, and/or the implementation and evaluation of these programmes ensuring the delivery of high quality care to patients. The post holder is expected to carry out all relevant forms of care without direct supervision. The post holder may be required to demonstrate procedures to and supervise registered and/or unregistered staff, as well as student nurses.

Please note the successful candidate must:

  • Registered Nurse with valid NMC registration

Knowledge, training and / or / experience required to do the job:

  • Excellent Team Working skills with the ability to work using own initiative
  • Effective Listening, Communication and Interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work with people and as part of a Multidisciplinary Team
  • Excellent Time Management skills
  • Working knowledge of basic Information Technology
