There are also good road and rail connections to Cardiff and London.Working for our organisationGlangwili General Hospital is a busy, friendly, and well-equipped hospital which opened in 1949. There are approx. 260 acute and elective inpatient beds, supporting emergency surgical and medical admissions. There is a 24-hour Emergency Unit and a Minor Injuries Unit Day service. The medical wards are assigned to Respiratory, Gastroenterology/Haematology, Endocrinology, Cardiology, Stroke/Rehabilitation, General Medicine, Elderly care, and Rehabilitation.Glangwili General Hospital also provides Emergency General Surgery, Urology, Orthopaedics/Major Trauma, ENT, and Gynaecology admissions, with elective care admissions in ENT & Gynaecology.The combination of the excellent team working, and staff development opportunities have allowed considerable progress and innovation of services in Glangwili General Hospital. The Nursing Team thrive on improving their Clinical Areas to ensure the patient receives the best possible experience.
