Your New Company

A family feel residential care home in Llanelli is looking for a confident manager to run their 23-bed residential care home. They have an experienced and dedicated staff team who are looking to maintain high levels of quality care for their residents. This home offers a wide range of social activities and delivers several well-being led programmes for the residents. Currently, they are rolling out a digital care programme and will need someone who is able to adapt and drive this forward.

Your new role
  • Documenting care plan progress and outcomes to improve care in the future
  • Conducting initial assessments of clients’ needs to develop care plans
  • Creating and implementing individualised care plans for each client, including home repairs and modifications to accommodate disabilities
  • Interviewing, hiring, and training new staff members as needed
  • Recruiting and supervising care home staff and ensuring that all the necessary tasks meet high standards of care
  • Having a thorough understanding of the qualities and skills that their staff need
  • Making strategic decisions about the future and growth of your care service
  • Leading on specific projects or clinical areas, such as setting up a new care service
  • Registering with the CIW and complying with their inspection framework
  • Managing the health and safety of the building and all the safety regulations relating to it
  • Offering emotional support to residents and their loved ones
What You’ll Need To Succeed
  • QCF level 5 in Health and Social Care or equivalent
  • Experience working as a manager in a health and social care setting
  • Good IT skills and ability to adapt
What You’ll Get In Return
  • Salary £30,000 - £40,000 per annum
