About The Role

We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Regional Operations Centre Manager to lead our team at Gillingham, Kent. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in telecommunications, demonstrating excellence in driving operational efficiency, improving customer service, and managing technical teams. Key Responsibilities:

Manage the ONSA Workstack including:

  • Manage the allocation of all works to the relevant team/ suppliers. This includes setting up and maintaining as much automation of allocation as possible.
  • Liaise with suppliers to obtain planned start dates whilst maintaining job prioritisation in alignment with client requirements.
  • Apply KCI messaging throughout job life
  • Process DFE applications where required, following notification from suppliers/teams
  • Process ENG COMPS and Job Closures, ensuring that invoicing is maintained and kept up to date
  • Provide daily whereabouts for ONSA operations into Gillingham Escalations
  • Manage and lead supplier work stack reviews with the Head of.

Provide additional management of work allocated to direct labour (DL) including:

  • Add all jobs to the DL tracker for operations to view
  • Ensure and jobs are planned in and permitted with ECDs, including all other services such as TM. Maintain the job schedule including emergency works.
  • Liaise with operations to arrange any pre-siting where required
  • Obtain updates of the work status from operations
  • Manage the registrations process for all completed DL works, including interim and permanent. Where interim, ensure the permanent registration is planned and carried out in accordance with Hawk spec guidelines.

Performance Monitor the Workstack

  • Create and maintain a suite of dashboard reports against the contractual requirements, including outstanding works, jeopardy management and completions.
  • Create and circulate a set of reports on contractual health to key stakeholders, including Head of Crawley Depot and Regional Director to ensure a ‘single version of the truth’ is available. In addition to this, provide ad hoc reporting as required.
  • Monitor & track the completions of all CANDIDS and Streetworks compliance failures for the ONSA contract and ensure escalations are made to the Head of Crawley Depot as required.
  • Maintain and manage the Work-In-Progress (WIP) volumes to ensure this doesn’t accumulate. Ensure WIP does not build up for any specific supplier or team and escalate to the Head of Crawley Depot.
  • Monitor and drive contractual compliance including service credit liability monitoring by providing reports, improvements, work shops as needed.

Manage the Client

  • Lead the client engagement for each work stack and region, ensuring relationships are built with key client contacts. Ensure a routine of calls are scheduled to share information about work stack health and priorities.
  • Liaise specifically with the client contacts on tails, workstack, works requiring client intervention and management of jobs identified as priorities by the client.

Team Management

  • Lead and manage a team of coordinators, administrators, and project managers, to ensure the above responsibilities are fulfilled.
  • Manage the onboarding and performance of the team (including job descriptions, 1:1s, objectives, employee relations issues, absence and leave)
  • Ensure there are work guides for each role within the team to ensure there is a consistent approach to workstack management.

Quality and Safety

  • Ensure that the ROC team are always compliant with company SHEQ guidance, procedures and policies.
  • Provide training and guidance to all team members and maintain accreditation standards as defined by Morrison Telecom Services.
  • Ensure that the workstack is managed in such a way that compliance with SHEQ guidance, procedures and policies is adhered to by all teams/ suppliers.
