We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior People Advisor to join our group HR team here at Brett. This is a newly created Regionalrole reporting to the Group Head of People and will focus on Employee Relations, establishing key people principles and improving the employee life cycle.

You can be based at either our Maidstone or Canterbury offices, with the need to travel to our other locations when needed.

Your Role

  • Advise and support managers in all ER related activity including but not limited to, disciplinary, grievance, performance management and absence.
  • Be actively involved in investigations, in conjunction with managers, including the preparation of all documentation for hearings.
  • Assist the business in all aspects of change management to ensure that change, where possible, is planned, managed and implemented in accordance with policies whilst enabling them to meet their corporate objectives.
  • Provide training for core People Processes
  • Take an active role in carrying out project work as requested by the Group Head of People
  • Review Employment Policies and Procedures ensuring they are in line with best practice and relevant employment legislation.
  • Manage a caseload as agreed prioritising as appropriate ensuring cases are managed to quality standards and timescales.
  • Provide regular reports on ER and other key people KPIs to the Group Head of People.
  • Support in the analysis of people data to identify trends and propose remedial action to correct and improve key people KPIs. Enhance employee and management understanding and adherence to policies.

About You

  • Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills
  • Demonstrates a good level of resilience
  • Ability to work autonomously
  • Experience in a generalist human resources role, preferably in an organisation that operates across multiple sites CIPD qualified minimum Level 5 or working towards Level 7
  • Excellent knowledge of best employment practice and employment legislation
