About this job We are looking for Recovery Workers / Support Workers to help support service users with their recovery from drug and/or alcohol misuse. Founded in 1967, We are With You is a charity that provides free and confidential support to people experiencing issues with drugs and alcohol. As a Recovery Worker, you’ll manage a caseload of service users, undertake assessments and help support through developing person-centred recovery plans. You will work as part of a team with the aims of: understanding your clients keeping them safe creating a plan they can achieve with your support checking in with them and reviewing their progress keeping accurate and timely records of your contact with them working effectively with other social care providers (e.g., Housing) to cover all aspects of their successful recovery continuously learning and reflecting to improve the outcomes for your clients supporting your colleagues across the service to deliver excellent care Essential Skills To be successful in this role, you will: have some experience of working in a health, social care or related setting have the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with clients and colleagues alike be able to work effectively in a team, supporting others when needed be resilient under pressure and able to prioritise you work have good oral and written communication skills be comfortable using IT and digital media be organised and able to manage your time effectively be flexible with your working hours on occasion be happy to support other With You locations when neededYou will also need to meet our safeguarding requirements of a satisfactory enhanced DBS check. Desirable Skills We’ll give your application priority if you: have previous experience of working with people who misuse substances knowledge of health and safety, including assessing client in high-risk situations
