Description

We have a number of exciting React Engineer roles as part of our transformation programme in AXA Health so come and join our friendly and supportive IT delivery team and be part of our journey with us.

This is an exciting opportunity to work as part of a new agile team to build our next generation of online and mobile applications. With an extensive focus on automation and code quality, you will work with automated test packs and release pipelines to ensure a highly efficient and quality product is shipped to users.

The Role

  • Contribute to the technical design, testing, implementation and delivery of secure, quality web applications using continuous delivery and agile best practices.
  • Collaborate with the team and stakeholders including pairing with designers, UX, data scientists etc.
  • Engage in user research, customer support, and get involved in other related activities where you can continue to learn more about how the product works.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives within the team and across the IT department.

Knowledge & Experience

  • Extensive working knowledge of full stack delivery technologies with a focus on React
  • Experience working with the following:
  • Redux, Typescript
  • Azure knowledge including DevOps.
  • .Net experience useful
  • OpenID Connect and OAuth experience useful
  • Experience working in a TDD environment.
  • Extensive experience with web application development and deployment.
  • At least 3 years proven relevant work experience in a similar role.
  • Demonstrate good understanding of modern security practices and standards.
  • Experience working in a product-centric organisation preferred

Location - Tunbridge Wells but can work remotely 3-4 days per week but can be more flixible to accomodate work-life balance

  • Able to communicate clearly and professionally. Brings well-researched product suggestions to the table, either small ideas that impact the current work, or larger ideas, with impact and trade-offs.
  • Knowledgeable of current industry trends in programming
  • Keen to learn – through both formal courses and self-learning mechanisms; this includes learning through experimentation when tackling new problems, using both successes and failures as learning opportunities.
