Maritime are recruiting an experienced reach stacker driver for our busy Rail Terminal in Trafford Park. Experience is preferred but not necessary as training can be provided.

This position is permanent and your total flexibility will be required to fulfil this challenging, yet rewarding role. Flexibility is essential for the shifts required which include days, nights and some weekends.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Loading and unloading various size and weight ISO shipping containers from trains or trucks.Stacking containers in allocated areas .Ensure safe and efficient operation of machinery and a reasonable knowledge of how the machine works.

Possessing the skills to operate Empty Container Handlers also, while not essential would be of great advantage, again Kalmar, Konecranes and Sany built machines is desired.

We are looking for candidates who have a flexible approach and can undertake a variety of production duties.

Candidates will be required to remain focused under pressure, be a team player and have good attention to detail to achieve an accurate, on time service to our customers and colleagues.

You will have experience loading and unloading containers ranging from 20 feet long to 45 feet long and up to 30 tonne in weight, from trains or Large Goods Vehicles, stacking and de-stacking containers in allocated areas.
