We currently have an exciting opportunity for you to join us as an R&D Business Manager at our site in Hook, Hampshire. This role is offered on a full time, permanent basis in return for a competitive salary of £44,000 - £50,000 per annum.

As an R&D Business Manager you will be responsible for managing the execution of an R&D project, ensuring that the project is properly quoted, planned, resourced, and managed according to a defined process. You will ensure the project is reviewed continuously and reported upon accurately. The main goal is to deliver the project deliverables on time, on cost and to the appropriate level of quality, whilst keeping commercial information and project milestones updated and communicated to the customer.

Responsibilities Of Our R&D Business Manager Will Include
  • Ensuring that the proposal for the work is scoped and costed correctly in terms of time and budget, the project plan is baselined and fully resourced, that projects are kicked off according to the R&D process and that responsibilities of project team members are defined and understood.
  • Ensuring that the R&D processes are being followed rigorously throughout the project, define project metrics, and ensure accurate reporting to the Senior Business Manager and customer.
  • Organising the tasks and apply resources at the appropriate times.
  • Resolving issues relating to on cost, on time, on quality delivery of the project.
  • Liaising and negotiating with customers and with team leads on resourcing needed for projects.
What we are looking for in our R&D Business Manager:

You should be skilled in Microsoft Project to a high competency level including management of multiple projects, be skilled in risk management and estimation, metrics collection and reporting, project costing and estimating, people management, and project management techniques and processes.
