Ramp Operative

Our Client is looking for Ramp Operatives to work within their prestigious international shipment sorting hub based at east midlands airport.

This is a unique opportunity to work airside, assisting with the loading and unloading of various aircraft.

Experience welcomed but not essential as extensive training will be provided for the right candidates.

Would suit someone that does not mind physical work ans enjoys working outdoors in all weather conditions.

Role: Ramp Operative

Hours: Monday- Friday 21:00-05:30 (40 Hour Week)

Location: East Midlands Airport (DE74 2TR)

Rate of Pay: £12.95 per hour

Start Date: Inductions every Friday

Duration: Ongoing (Temp to Perm)

The site is accessible by the sky link bus service or free car parking is available

Easy access from Derby, Nottingham, Leicester & Loughborough

Please note: In order to be successful for this role you will need a full clean driving license. You will also need a clean criminal record and verifiable 5 year background history. We are experts in this industry and will make the process as smooth as possible for you.

Role of a Ramp Operative

  • Loading and unloading of aircraft
  • Operating scanners
  • Ensuring all cargo is processed in a quick and accurate manner
  • Operation of different aircraft loading machinery
  • Ensuring cargo remains secure throughout process
  • May include heavy lifting (up to 25kg)
  • Fast paced working environment
