My Client is leading independent OHLE provider with both a Principle Contractors Licence and a Plant Operators Licence. The business provides turnkey OHLE capabilities from design through installation and commissioning to final testing. The Company operates both with the main line heavy rail factor and the mass transit factor

  • Isolations and Planning
  • OHLE Installation
  • Testing and Commissioning of OHLE Systems
  • OHLE Training
  • Machine Hire.

To be suitable for the position you must be qualified in the below to train;

  • D32/33 or A1/A2
  • City & Guilds 7331 or equivalent
  • (COSS) Controller of Site Safety
  • (PTS) Personal Track Safety
  • Plant competences
  • Computer literacy
  • First Aid
  • IWA
  • Lookout
  • Internal Quality Audit

Role Information;
  • Design, deliver and evaluate a comprehensive range of training programmes for use by training staff in accordance with legislative requirements, Technical and Safety instructions and Group and Line Standards.
  • Training and Assessing the performance of participants and candidates against relevant laid down Quality, Technical and Safety critical Standards in accordance with Sentinel Scheme Rules and Network Rail Company/Line Standards and RSSB Railway Group Standards
  • Implementing the Railway Safety Critical Work Assessment Regulations.
  • Carry out Network Rail Safety Training and Assessments in line with the current, relevant and appropriate Group Standards.
  • Develop and review-training courses, supporting material and competency assessments to meet defined standards and objectives agreed with the customer and Network Rail.
  • Deliver training programmes to meet the needs of the business and those of external customers, both at the training centre and at customer out base locations.
  • Assess theoretical and practical competence of candidates and Trainers in accordance with laid down standards.
  • Monitor the effectiveness and appropriateness of technical training by site visits thus assisting in the evaluation of training delivered.
  • Comply with Local and Regional instructions and procedures.
  • Assist other training personnel with the arranging, organising and delivering of training programmes for the customers of SPL Powerlines UK Ltd.
  • Review Group and Line Standards to assess training implications.
  • Provide technical advice and practical assistance in the maintenance and improvement of training facilities and equipment.
  • Deputise for the Training, Assessing and Delivery Manager when requested.
  • Ensure that all environmental issues are adhered to within the Company’s Environmental Awareness and Education Module.
  • Train and assess in accordance with Sentinel Rules & Network Rail Business/Company/Line Standards/Specifications and RSSB Railway Group Standards.
