Job Summary

Due to the expansion of the current CT services and the installation of a 9th CT scanner in July 2023, an exciting opportunity has arisen for enthusiastic and dynamic individuals to join the CT team at UHNM. There are a number of vacancies and we welcome applications from those already with experience in CT or those wishing to expand their knowledge and skills and train in CT on a Band 5 to Band 6 preceptorship.

The successful candidate will be committed to giving our patients and referrers the very best quality of care and service.

The CT scanning department currently has eight state of the art CT scanners providing support to a wide range of referrers, including the level 1 Major Trauma centre, Vascular and Neuro intervention, Paediatric , Musculo skeletal, and Oncology services.

Main duties of the job

The successful candidate will be provided with an induction period supported by a mentor, during which time it will be ensured that they are equipped to undertake all of the CT procedures performed during the 24/7 service. CT Radiographers will be required to participate in the 24/7 shift pattern.

Your day to day role would include: o Efficient and effective running of theCTlists, ensuring that policies and procedures are adhered to provide a safe and efficient environment for the patient o Participate in the supervision of student Radiographers o Maintaining good working relationships with allDepartments o Be proactive and keen to fulfil the responsibilities of the Band 6 role as in the Job Description.
