Job Title: Quantity Surveyor

Location: Peterborough

Salary: £40,000 to £50,000 + package

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Quantity Surveyor to join a leading infrastructure contractor delivering an ambitious utilities framework across the East Midlands. With a budget of more than £1bn and a programme of work stretching until 2025, you will be at the forefront of around 800 infrastructure projects across the region including water mains, wastewater infrastructure, treatment works and pumping stations.

In this role, the Quantity Surveyor will take charge of all commercial activities and play a vital role in enhancing efficiency and achieving outstanding results. Your key responsibilities will include working closely with the programme area estimating team and ensure accurate and comprehensive estimates, managing subcontract accounts in line with the agreed contracts, collaborating with the procurement team to develop and deliver procurement strategy and providing on-site support to the site based project teams.

Quantity Surveyors considering this opportunity will need to be able to demonstrate experience within the utilities or civil engineering sectors, a degree in a cost related field and first class communication skills. It’s important that you’re driven, have a keen interest in developing your own career and the careers of those around you and that your confident when working directly with clients and stakeholders alike.
