Position: Quality Technician - PRAY-C54DDU


Main Purpose of the Job:

Quality Control

Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining the calibration process
  • Record, investigate and resolve quality concerns
  • Continuously improve products and processes
  • Participate and Support 5S activities
  • Provide advice and mentor operatives on quality requirements and processes
  • Assist with audits (product, process and supplier)
  • Goods inwards inspection on selected products
  • Process parts rejected from production back to suppliers (MRB)
  • Support the drive to improve Quality and facilitate improvements across the business
  • Support the business in driving down cost (Supplier, process and warranty)
  • Support offsite events
  • Statistical process capability measurements
  • Component testing
  • Data collection, generation and presentation of KPI’s
  • Support the creation of rework methods and standard operating procedures
  • Adhere to and promote all Health and Safety and Environmental requirements
  • Any other requirements commensurate with the position

Qualifications:

  • Minimum GCSE/level 2 Maths, English and Science or Technology (grade C or above)
  • Engineering apprenticeship desirable otherwise it is expected that the recruit will undertake BTEC training to level 3 in Engineering on a distance learning basis

Skills & Experiences:

  • Previous experience of working in a manufacturing environment
  • Full driving licence
  • Continuous improvement
  • Proficient in Word and Excel
  • Problem solving capability
  • Working knowledge of Avante database desirable

Normal Working Hours:

Mon,Tues,Wed & Thurs - 08:00 to 17:00

Fri - 08:00 - 13:00

The post holder would be required to work the hours necessary to fulfil the requirements of the role.

Rate: Up to £25,000 dependent on experience
