Position:Project Engineer - MCLS-BXJG24


Main Purpose of the Job:

Provide the day to day support for Production processes and departments. To manage & co-ordinate process equipment and facilities projects. Liaise across various business professionals to deliver manufacturing solutions to Production related issues. Manage large capital projects. Responsibilities :

  • Work closely with Design, Production & Maintenance Teams.
  • Compile work method instructions (SOPs)- design new/modified systems & processes to overcome
  • manufacturing/process issues.
  • Specify, purchase, install & commission new machinery, equipment, tools & processes to improve or maintain the manufacturing processes.
  • Control & selection of contractors & equipment suppliers.
  • Improve & maintain factory layout to achieve better material flows & process controls.
  • Design, specify & purchase new jigs fixtures and templates whilst maintain & improve existing jigs fixtures & templates.
  • Identify & implement process improvement with the aid of data management techniques.
  • Supervising external contractors where necessary.
  • Create, develop & submit for approval Capital projects.

Qualifications:

  • HNC or Degree with experience of manufacturing industry.
  • Preference given to those who have a time served apprenticeship.; HNC or Degree with experience of manufacturing industry.

Skills & Experiences:

  • Experience working as a Production Engineer
  • Experience handling Equipment & Buildings projects
  • Experience in CAD systems (3D preferred, 2D essential)
  • Lean manufacturing techniques
  • Knowledge and experience of the CDM Regs
  • Contractor control
  • NEBOSH/IOSH Training (preferred); Experience working as a Production Engineer
  • Experience handling Equipment & Buildings projects

  • Lean manufacturing techniques

Normal Working Hours:

Mon,Tues,Wed,Thurs Hours: 8:00 to 17:00

Fri Hours: 08:00 to 13:00

The post holder would be required to work the hours necessary to fulfil the requirements of the role.
