QUALITY TECHNICIAN

NEAR PONTYPOOL

PERMANENT FULL TIME 8am-5pm Mon-Thurs, 8am-1pm Fri

Hawk 3 Talent Solutions are looking to recruit a Quality Technician for our client, a global specialist manufacturer based on the outskirts near Pontypool. Excellent opportunity for progression for the right candidate.

Reporting To

EQH&S & Site Services Manager

Purpose of Role

Responsible for all plant activities relating to current and new products supporting the business with product measurements and assisting the Quality Manager to maintain HSE and Quality Standards on site.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Focus - Support Delivery Deadlines
  • Planning of Product Measurements
  • Yearly Departmental Objectives
  • Control of Change
  • Prototype/Production measurement support
  • Control of the Gauge Room and its Environment
  • Product Traceability
  • Maintain Product Knowledge by attending Project Reviews.
  • Maintain/up-date quality & production documents
  • External/Internal Calibration
  • Pre-Delivery Activities. Final Inspection.
  • Post Delivery Activities. Customer Returns/Warranty Evaluation.
  • Internal Audit. Process/Product/Systems.
  • Support 6S audits
  • Control of Non-Conforming Product
  • Evaluation of Non-Conforming Product
  • Assist EQH&S Manager to maintain HSE & Quality standards.
  • Assist in Customer & Supplier PPAP’s.
  • Assist with risk assessments
  • Assist with external Duty of Care Audits
  • Support 8D activities and reporting
  • Promoting Quality Improvement Programs
Key Requirements
  • The successful candidate will have past experience within a quality role.
  • Maintain a high standard of Health and Safety based upon safe working practices and support environmental initiatives.
  • Ensure that all work activities and records comply with Company Policies, Procedures and Codes of Practice.
  • Internal Auditor Training with good awareness of ISO 9001:2015 and be familiar with ISO 14001 & 45001.
  • Ability to communicate information, whether technical or non-technical to internal stakeholders and customers, in a clear and concise manner.
  • Highly professional and capable of being a strong ambassador for the company.
  • Motivated and a self-starter & able to work on own initiative.
  • Willing and able to travel globally and at times, at short notice.
Working Hours

8am-5pm Mon-Thur, 8am-1pm Fri
