Quality Manager

Responsible for ensuring that quality standards are maintained, so that product is consistently supplied to the agreed specification.

  • To plan and implement appropriate, Quality, BRC and FSC policies and procedures and associated systems in conjunction with group standards.
  • Ensure that the Company maintains associated compliance and admin systems for ISO9001, BRCGS, FSC.
  • Leading and coordinating Root Cause Analysis.
  • Providing support to customer sites.
  • Ensure quality issues are resolved using effective problem solving techniques.
  • Lead and develop direct reports in our Quality Team, as well as being responsible for all aspects of people management e.g. recruitment, training, disciplinary, appraisals.
  • Support the creation, review and approval of quality documents e.g. Control Plans, FMEA, Capability Studies, HACCP etc.
  • Conducting internal and external quality, hygiene process and factory audits, identifying non- conformances and proposes opportunities for improvements.
  • Assist the maintenance of the Quality Management.
  • Provide stakeholders with appropriate quality information on a regular basis and ensure activities are underway to improve performance.
  • Applying sustainable Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles.
  • Support Continuous Improvement activities.
  • Leading Quality Culture.

Experience

  • Degree qualified in a Quality related discipline, or proven experience in similar position.
  • Have experience in a progressive, fast moving manufacturing environment, ideally within the packaging industry.
  • Competent experience in managing a team is preferred.
  • Six Sigma certified to minimum Green Belt level desirable.
  • Lead auditor training for quality or food safety disciplines.
  • Have proven analytical and systematic approach to problem solving.
  • Detailed knowledge of the ISO standards for quality and hygiene.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Excellent negotiation and influencing skills.
  • Excellent facilitation and presentation skills.
