Job Profile for Quality Inspector - 00266293Quality Inspector required for an Oil & Gas equipment manufacturer based in Gateshead. My client has 50 years of experience machining and assembling critical subsea components and systems and a market leader in their products. The ideal candidate will have experience of conducting visual and dimensional inspection activities using manual measuring equipment, such as micrometres, verniers, plug gauges, screw plugs, ring gauges.Quality InspectorPosition Overview
  • Be proficient at programming CMM’s with Mcosmos software. Offline programming experience would be an advantage.
  • Have experience of conducting visual and dimensional inspection activities using manual measuring equipment, such as micrometres, verniers, plug gauges, screw plugs, ring gauges
  • Have strong experience of working to customer specifications
  • Be confident reviewing and verifying internal reports
  • Have strong mathematical skills and the ability to understand engineering drawings
Quality InspectorPosition Requirements
  • Be competent in the use of Microsoft Office packages include excel and word
  • Have a can-do attitude and work well with others in a team environment
  • Be flexible in your approach - willing to work overtime when required to suit customer requirements
  • Be willing to pass on your knowledge and train others
Quality InspectorPosition Remuneration
  • Salary - 19.75 per hour
  • You will be working over a number of shift patterns including night shift which attracts an allowance of 29.25% of basic rate per hour. Overtime is paid at time and half.
