As a part of theApplus+ Laboratories group, Applus+ 3C Test Ltd is a visionary testing facility based at Silverstone Technology Park whose focus is testing to the many requirements of the international standards to support our customer base in the electromagnetic compatibility (EMC), vibration and environmental sectors.

Role:

This is a permanent full-time role based at our site at Silverstone Technology Park. The successful applicant will be responsible for the day-to-day management of 3C Test’s ISO 17025 UKAS accredited Quality Management System and our Health and Safety policies and procedures.

You will also play a key role supporting our current and future expansion plans to seek further accreditations and approvals whilst ensuring compliance to health and safety legislations.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring that the requirements detailed in the UKAS regulations are met on a day-to-day basis.
  • Carrying out continual monitoring and internal auditing of activities and processes at Applus+ 3C Test to ensure compliance ISO 17025, the Quality Manual and Standard Procedures.
  • Supporting and developing continuous improvement methods whilst working closely with technical and operations management to streamline operational performance and efficiency.
  • Carry out Quality Review Meetings on a regular basis with senior and department management.
  • Manage the reporting of non-compliances and non-conforming work arising from audits, reports, and feedback with the relevant department managers.
  • Periodic reviews and vetting of quality system documentation used to support the quality management system.
  • Pro-actively seek customer feedback with relation to services provided.
  • Oversee all testing accreditations and approvals and liaise with technical management to ensure document packs are completed and submission deadlines are met.
  • Handling of customer complaints and carrying out suitable root cause analysis investigations where required.
  • Develop and maintain health and safety policies and procedures across both test sites.
  • Undertake risk assessments and site inspections to identify potential hazards and evaluate ways to reduce risks.
  • Regularly update the safe working procedures and policies ensuring compliance with any changes in legislation.
  • Recording and investigating and H&S incidents, accidents, and complaints.
  • Investigate any health and safety issues raised by management or employees.

Candidate requirements:

  • At least 3 years’ experience in a similar role.
  • A Degree or Higher National Diploma or equivalent qualification in Quality Assurance or related field for role.
  • A working knowledge of ISO 17025: 2017.
  • A working knowledge of ISO 17065: 2012 (desirable).
  • Hold an ISO 17025: 2017 Internal Auditing Qualification or equivalent.
  • Hold an IOSH Managing Safety Qualification (or equivalent)
  • Full UK Driving License
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to prioritise multiple tasks and work to tight deadlines
  • Ability to give constructive feedback to all levels of staff
  • Good IT skills with experience of using Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams is essential
