Quality Engineer

Location – Flexible, UK based

Contract Type – Permanent

Working Hours – Full time

Become a member of #TearmRWE and contribute to the energy turnaround as a quality assurance engineer by performing the following tasks, among others:


  • Participation in new plant construction projects by developing specifications, inspection and test programs (ITP)
  • Evaluating suppliers and conducting inspections at suppliers during manufacture and on site during construction
  • Identification and reporting of quality problems with associated proposed solutions to project management
  • Use of own expertise to provide technical advice as a team for all levels of the project
  • Creation of contract specifications of plant components and review and evaluation of quality plans, ITPs and other quality documents
  • Conduct inspections and evaluations at suppliers and on site, assign this task to others and evaluate critical findings
  • Coordinating and reporting results to project management and tracking corrective actions for continuous improvement


Your Powerful Skills


  • Completed studies in the field of engineering, specializing in mechanical engineering or comparable, qualification as a welding engineer (IWE)
  • Vast relevant work experience in plant construction including production standards e.g., EN 12952 EN 13480, EN 1090, EN 13445 and extensive knowledge of quality control, quality assurance, ISO 9001 and supplier evaluation and monitoring
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills as well as a secure and self-confident demeanour. You will be RWE Technology’s first Quality Engineer in the UK, so it is essential you are self sufficient and confident.
  • An eye for detail
  • Sound knowledge of all MS Office applications
  • Willingness to travel at home and abroad
  • Excellent knowledge of spoken and written English
