Quality Engineer

PURPOSE

TVSSCS are an industry leading supply chain and logistics company with operational sites across the globe serving customers whom operate in many varied industries, including but not limited to defence, automotive, beverage, utilities and manufacturing

Utilising and investing in automation, technology and systems to deliver world class service to our customers across our current 5 but expanding UK operational sites

We are looking to recruit a Quality engineer to join the UK operations management team to lead and formulate quality assurance policies and procedures and train employees to use quality assurance tools across our UK sites. Duties to include testing products, systems and procedures to ensure that they meet technical standards, creating documentation on quality and liaising between the production teams and the customers to uncover quality-related issues.

Candidates will have a proven education and experience in a Quality engineer role or Quality assurance role within industry, be experienced in team management and development, have continuous improvement pedigree and be customer focused

The successful candidate will support and be part of a successful and growing UK management team and support the selection and investment in technology, systems, and process improvement.

MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Working with internal teams to improve the quality of products and process for enhancing customer satisfaction

Setting and tracking assurance goals

Preparing reports and documentations on quality issues and corrective measures

Identifying the root causes of technical and process issues and developing corrective action plans, Standard operating procedures and standardisation

Provide support, guidance and training to employee

Reviewing and revise quality documentations

Monitoring and auditing end to end production process perform regular testing to identify potential problems and areas of concern that could lead to a customer quality issue

KNOWLEDGE , SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

· Proven Experience

· Determination and ability to perform under pressure

· Knowledge of Continuous Improvement tools and methodologies

· Good interpersonal and motivational skills coupled with a can-do attitude that embraces change.

· Ability to manage departmental workload dynamically to achieve key tasks as expressed within client contractual service level agreements

· Judgement and decision making. Ability to work under pressure, be creative in approach and solve problems with speed, whilst working within policy guidelines

· Achievement drive. Energy, drive and motivation are essential ingredients for this role.

· Full, UK Driving License

· Good mathematical skills and proficiency with computer software such as Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook

· Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, manufacturing, industrial, production engineering or another related field

· Experience in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software and extensive knowledge of ISO standards.

EXPERIENCE

· Proven employment experience of successful management of a quality management system.

· Experience of using problem solving techniques and associated methodologies

· Proven experience of managing and improving operational teams and process in a complex, fast moving environment.

· Previous experience of delivering positive change in culture and attitude to achieve enhanced quality performance
