Job Title: Quality Engineer

Permanent, Full time

About the Role

The purpose of this role is to develop our Quality Management activity into a formal set of routines and processes which are pro-active, comprehensive, planned, evidence-based, and robust to allow us to feedback at the earliest stage any required improvements.

Our strategy and processes should support our long-term goals of increased customer satisfaction, loyalty and trust through reduction in quality issues.

The role requires close and timely collaboration with colleagues within Quality teams and factories both in China as well as Europe, issues coordination and implementation of solutions into the business processes using continuous improvement methodologies.

Main Duties

· Analyse customer reported fault data to identify and report new quality issues, monitor existing problems and define the scale of each issue

· Review engineer completion reports to identify emerging and existing quality issues

· Report quality problems to HQ and Factory

· Develop robust reporting and feedback processes with 3rd party providers in order to ensure the highest level of compliance to Quality standards

· Develop a detailed and effective quality control process for the introduction of new products

· Monitor the quality of incoming products

· Develop recall/modification processes

Key Skills

· Previous quality assurance or testing experience

· Demonstrate high levels of data accuracy and efficient data recording

· Demonstrable aptitude for technology and Manufacturing systems

· Demonstrate a proven logical, methodical and process-driven mind-set

· Technical ability to understand mechanisms of failure across all product types

· Excellent report writing ability in order to efficiently communicate technical issues with a range of audiences

· Desire to improve processes to increase efficiency

· Strong analytic skills

· Degree qualified in Science, Engineering or related field or equivalent
