Job & Division Summary:
The Aftermarket/Warranty Quality Engineer shall plan and coordinate quality activities in conjunction with the Quality Manager to ensure all components; processes and product meet the specified requirements. Assists Customers & departments to resolve processing issues and promotes continuous improvement. Provides quality planning and training as necessary to support the successful launch of new parts, processes and products. Investigate and resolve Customer Complaints and Warranty claims and assess their causes to close out. Liaise with suppliers and internal operations to effectively resolve all issues, promote quality, productivity improvements and cost reduction.
Responsibilities:
- Record and process claims using the on-line Warranty system and procedures, to transmit all such claims for payment
- Resolve Aftermarket Customer & Internal processing & Inspection issues with 3rd Party Logistics provider
- Using Quality Tools for the Analysis of defects in materials, products, and recommends corrective measures to maintain quality standards. Maintains and continually improves the quality of the product, monitor & report quality KPI’s
- Playing an active role in quality improvement programs to improve the product and processes, by using and promoting lean thinking and processes too continually improve.
- Planning and conducting Internal Audits of plant processes and working practices to ensure compliance and the resolution of non-conformances
- Process and reconcile warranty claim settlement information received from Sales companies and direct distributors.

- Ability to maintain personal technical knowledge of products
- Pragmatic approach to problem solving
- HND or HNC qualification
- Proven experience in / with ISO management systems
- Experience of being a Warranty Engineer
- Microsoft Office skills (particularly Excel)
- Problem solving using 8D (or other tools)
- Auditing experience (System, product, process)
