Quality Coordinator

£25,000-£30,000 DOE

Monday -Friday - 37.5-hour week

Holidays are 25 per year plus statutory holidays. Pension scheme is employer contributions of 7.5%.

The Quality Control Coordinator is responsible for carrying out checks to ensure that all products are produced to the relevant specifications and quality standards, and that this is done by following the correct company procedures to ensure that the site quality policies and procedures are implemented and adhered to and have awareness of healthy and safety procedures. Looking for a good all-rounder looking after healthy and safety and quality aspects of the site.

SHEQ Manager / UK SHEQ Leader

Quality Control Coordinator/Quality Assurance Knowledge /expertise

Must have:

  • Experience in Quality in manufacturing, ideally in packaging industry
  • Good knowledge on quality system management
  • Knowledge of Lean manufacturing tools

Quality Control Coordinator /Quality Assurance Job Purpose

The objective of this role is to:

  • Support the site leadership team in implementing and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Ensuring we have a zero-defect ethos and set, control and monitor standards and processes to meet this ethos.
  • Ensuring the shipping of good quality finished goods and allowing good quality materials into preparation/production
  • Raise in timely manner all Quality defects and prevent escape of defects to customers.
  • Develop a Quality culture across the whole Company is a key part of this role and the continuous improvement process is a key tool to achieve it.
  • Ensuring that policies and procedures are followed, and provide evidence to support compliance e.g., risk assessments / audits / inspections / maintenance records / Control of Contractors/waste management/calibration/ etc.
  • Support site leadership team with risk management, developing safe systems of work.
  • Support SHEQ Manager when investigate accidents and non-conformances to help with establishing root cause and effective corrective action.
  • Support SHEQ Manager in completion internal audit schedule and support when carry out external audits and on site inspection, as required by the schedule.

Quality Control Coordinator /Quality AssuranceMain Activities

  • Follow Quality Systems, Test methods and Validation protocol
  • To ensure all specifications of the product fall within measured standards and tolerances of requirements as outlined by the customer before signing off and approving.
  • Carry out In Process Inspections
  • Detect and target problems
  • Carry out Positive Release Inspections
  • Carry out Goods Inwards Inspections
  • Raising Attachment Documentation
  • Administering and archiving of documentation
  • Downloading, Checking & Accepting customer specifications
  • Inspection and Investigation support at all levels
  • Technical and Documental support where required
  • To set clear quality standards in line with the group strategy & customers’ expectations.
  • Attend production and lock down planning meetings to enable planning for customer quality requirements
  • Manage and coordinate all aspects of site quality including maintaining all regulatory approvals.
  • Act as a change agent promoting best practices and drive continuous Quality improvement throughout the site.
  • Responsible for executing the Quality annual operating plan
  • Responsible for the reporting of the Non-Compliance system including Scrap, Rework, First Pass Yield.
  • Responsible for the recording and distribution of the Quality KPIs
  • Prepare and ensure efficient process to pass through audits from customers or 3rd parties, including certifications like FSC or others.
