Surface Preparation Operative

Physically demanding manual role working as a blaster / Surface Preparation Operative cleaning metal parts for the aerospace industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing metal surfaces for painting and coating, using a variety of techniques but mainly metal blasting, (like sandblasting). This role requires a high level of attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

The role runs on a full time 4 days week so every Friday off but you should be open to overtime where required.

Previous experience will be a distinct advantage but full training can be given:

  • Operate and maintain surface preparation equipment.

  • Inspect and identify surface defects and take corrective action as required.

  • Follow safety procedures and ensure a safe working environment.

  • Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.

  • Communicate effectively with team members and other departments.
