The role

We are currently recruiting Quality Assurance Technicians to work within our Panel/Modular Build team within our Structural Products division on a rotational AM/PM shift basis.

You will strive for the highest levels of quality and process controls ensuring that the output of the panel build team is in line with the high expectations of the Hadley Group and its customers, ensuring any quality issues are rectified before the panels are delivered to our construction sites.

  • Ensure a high level of quality is maintained from the panel build team through the over-checking of both physical panels as well as supporting quality documentation.
  • Resolve any non-conformances identified to prevent escapes.
  • Escalate and communicate non-conformances to the wider team to learn from issues identified to prevent recurrence.
  • Update process documentation and training material where necessary.
  • Collate KPI data on the quality performance of the panel build team to track trends and strive for continuous improvement.
  • Audit the process escalating and resolving any issues found
  • Look to continually make the process more robust.
  • Ensure a high level of quality is received from fabricators, checking deliveries in using goods inward process, random checks of tolerances within fabrication and paint specification. Escalating to non-conformance process when required
  • Check all deliveries from suppliers using the goods inward process, completing necessary steps to ensure we have received required items to specification and completing paperwork. Escalating to non-conformance process when required
  • Monitor and report on Supplier quality performances to management for PQQ assessments/audits

The candidate

  • You will have previous experience in a Quality Inspection role within a manufacturing/engineering environment.
  • Familiar with continuous improvement techniques
  • Competent in being able to read engineering drawings and carry out manual measurements of panels against drawing.
