Quality Assistant/Lab Technician

A growing company with an industry leading product that supplies into the pharmaceutical industry are actively looking to recruit for their South Wales site. With sites across Europe this is an excellent time to join the business and help sustain the growth.

With an exciting and ground-breaking R&D programme, the company is well placed in the future to expand its product portfolio across the UK, Europe and globally. To that end, the company is seeking to recruit a number of key positions in its quality function.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • All aspects of microbiology laboratory duties, cleanroom activities including product testing and environmental monitoring, Quality Control (QC) and Quality Assurance (QA).
  • Manage and control the day-to-day activities of the operational processes within the company, including but not limited to microbiology, cleanroom, QA and QC.
  • Support the annual activities required for cleanroom re-qualification, including monitoring microbial levels within the manufacturing environment in conjunction with the Operations Management.
  • Management, including scheduling and setup, of production operator validations with guidance of Operations Management.
  • Ensure compliance with GMP, GLP and the BQMS as appropriate.
  • Compliance with microbial monitoring plan.
  • Monitor stock levels of materials and consumables used for quality/microbiology consistent with the company budget.
  • Carry out internal audits (following in house training).
  • Assisting with the generation, approval and reconciliation of batch labelling.
  • Perform batch release duties (following in house training).
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
  • Experience in a Quality Assistant or Lab Technician based role
  • Qualifications in Biological Science, Pharmaceutical or Applied Chemistry
  • Previous experience in the medical or pharmaceutical industry would be beneficial
