JOB SUMMARY: QC Technician I

This position is responsible for the testing and preparation of sample as received and or produced at the Bletchley facility.

The Job Holder must be able to work in a high pressure environment complex mixtures isolated from various products, develop the relevant analytical methodologies and carry out full qualitative and quantitative analyses.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Perform daily chemical analysis on related raw material and manufactured products
• Conduct chemical extractions on selected botanical ingredients
• Prepare all related products for sensory assessment
• Follow GMP procedures in line with company policy
• Assist in EMP procedure in accordance with business objectives
• Provide production support on in process testing, corrective actions and root cause analysis
• Maintain records of all analyses and reference samples
• Work efficiently in a cross-functional department
• Provide support to other laboratory staff where required
  

Skills & Abilities

• Necessary skill and experience in the food and flavor sector are essential
• Capable to work to GMP standards
• The ability to demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• IT skills; numerical/data entry and report writing experience is essential
• A highly-motivated self-starter who is able to think independently yet work as a team player
• Ability to travel on an occasional basis
  

Education & Experience

• A bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Chemistry or another Science discipline
• Experience in the field of flavor product chemistry
