Purchasing & Supply Chain Manager

We are looking to employ an ambitious Purchasing focused Supply Chain Manager, Category ManagerorProduct Managerto drive the Aftermarket Parts programme for a market leading parts specialist. Through improving supplier efficiencies, product range & product offering, the key will be to integrate current suppliers in supplying finished components, whilst balancing the need to source new suppliers capable of delivering reverse engineered products to high OE specifications. Our ideal candidate will be able to deliver Aftermarketexperience in Purchasing, Product Management, Supply Chain or Category or Product Management. Sound interesting?

(Circa £35k - £45k) + Pension + Career Advancement

Our Ideal Candidate Will Be Capable Of
  • Demonstrating a successful track record in automotive manufacturing or aftermarket parts supply working across Supply Chain and Procurement.
  • Possessing or working towards a formal procurement & supply chain qualification such as CIPS or
  • Working with engineering drawings on interpreting parts & components specifications.
  • Delivering high levels of analytical competence with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Handling a substantial number of suppliers internationally.
  • Managing a high volume of SKU’S from a wide supplier base.
  • Logical and mature thinking with an ability to engage suppliers nationally and internationally whilst also benchmarking total supplier performance.
  • Building solid negotiation cases to and with suppliers.
  • Working in tandem and seamlessly with all areas of the business cross functionally.
  • Using excellent PC and analytical skills, particularly excel spread sheet work as the role carries intrinsic analysis of data, parts supply and supplier performance.
  • Bringing positivity, character and a bright outlook with the willingness to go the extra mile.
